By 2021, I’d tried every diet plan under the sun.
I did Weight Watchers for the first time in HIGH SCHOOL… and yet, over a decade later, I was still waking up every Monday feeling “off track”
I was utterly confused how I could WANT to be consistent so desperately… and yet, nothing I tried helped me be consistent
In my mid-20s, I starting feeling like this may just be who I was:
- The chaotic one
- The one always trying a new diet
- The one always joining a new gym
- The one always eliminating a new food group
- The one who couldn't stick to anything longer than 30 days without rebelling
I wondered if I just wasn’t cut out for consistency
But I couldn’t settle for that… I was an achiever, and I knew that if I put my mind to it, I could figure it out... But what I’d been trying wasn’t cutting it
So I studied food truths instead of food rules, I got certified as a macro nutrition coach, I started questioning my thoughts, I started leading with curiosity instead of judgment
It was SO uncomfortable. But I knew that I wanted to keep going.
And suddenly, I saw a perspective that changed how I saw the world
I’d been misunderstanding food the whole time… and therefore, I’d been misunderstanding how to be consistent in my nutrition and health too
I realized all my “bad decisions” weren’t because of my PERSONAL flaws, they were because of the flaws in my thinking!!
And I could CHANGE that… so I did, and then I taught it to all my clients
