Girl, you're getting tripped up by going "with your gut"
When it comes to your nutrition, you value doing what’s PRACTICAL and make decisions that “just feel right” ... because you deeply feel that there’s just right and wrong when it comes to eating healthy.Â
You are someone who is probably deeply admired for how well you think on your feet (BTW the rest of us are #jealous)
Other people may be willing to ignore what their body is telling them - but not you.
You NOTICE how decisions feel in your body and you value going with your instincts…
Although sometimes this need to act fast causes you to say no to something that could actually help you make more progress in the long run (like a diet you can actually stick to) or causes you to reject something that doesn’t have black and white rules (like a diet that allows for life flexibility)

You have a natural ability to GIVE OTHERS A SENSE OF CALMÂ through your ability to know exactly what you want - or be willing to go with the flow to ensure you keep the peace.

That said… because you act with such natural instincts, you often forget to consider your thoughts, your emotions, and your needs before reacting.
This leads you to suffocate yourself with rigidity when it comes to making decisions around food - or do just the opposite by “letting yourself be free” and descending into indulgence.
How many times have you reached for the ice cream in the freezer and thought to yourself “I deserve this”?
Your own gift of quick action can be your worst enemy in these cases, causing you to sabotage your goals instead of helping you stay the course.

Your homework to start combating this tendency as a "gut type":

Next time you go out to eat with friends, notice your instincts to choose something without thinking and challenge that first thought.Â

 Instead of acting fast - pause first (even if it’s uncomfortable!!)... Using your mind (and maybe your heart) consider if that first choice will help you keep your momentum with your current health goals - or if going with your gut may have taken you off track.Â
 If you thought “screw the diet, it’s Friday”... what if you didn’t screw the diet?
 If you thought “whatever, if everyone wants pizza, I’ll just say okay”... what if you spoke up and asked to grab something healthier instead?

 It’s normal to want to “just go” instead of taking the time to think, but the more you think about what you really want now, the easier it will be to automate that action in the future, once you prove to yourself that it’s getting you results!

Hi I'm Coach JuliA!!

Ever felt like you're crushing it in every area of your life... except when it comes to food and your body? That was totally me after COVID hit.
There I was in 2020, about 10 pounds heavier after lockdown, freshly single, and desperately wanting to feel good in my jeans again. Sound familiar?
So I did what any determined person would do—I hired a macro coach.Â
I remember the day so clearly—September 8th. I poured my heart out in this long message, confessing all my food "sins"...
"Look, I never stick with diets past 8 weeks...
I get these intense cravings for sweets...
tell me I 'can't' have something and it's ALL I think about...
oh, and I'm definitely not giving up my margaritas!"
I was so hopeful. This was going to be different!Â
Finally, someone would give me the missing piece to make this all click.
But guess what happened instead?
The same old story played out.Â
Restriction. Obsessive tracking. Weekend "slip-ups" followed by my coach just... cutting my macros even more. For 14 weeks I tried to force myself into this box that simply wasn't made for me.
You know that moment when you think, "I'm too smart to be this bad at weight loss"? ... Yeah, I lived there.
So what did I do after firing my coach?Â
Something crazy—I became obsessed with solving this puzzle.Â
